No, absolutely not. All varieties produced under Ayasofya Lokum exclusively contain 100% domestic crystal sugar beet. Glucose syrup, high-fructose corn syrup, artificial sweeteners, and synthetic thickeners are never permitted in our recipes.

How should Turkish delight be stored? Should it be refrigerated? ▼

Authentic Turkish delight must never be refrigerated! Cold, humid air causes starch retrogradation, making the texture rock-hard, and liquefies the protective powdered sugar. Keep it in an airtight jar at 18–22°C (64–72°F) away from direct sunlight. Read our full Turkish delight storage guide.
